Texas Scousers
Club President + Merchandise Coordinator

Texas Scousers is the nickname of the Official Supporters Club of Dallas/Ft. Worth. We are an organization of Liverpool fans that are crazy enough to meet at 6:30 in the morning to watch a Liverpool Game.
We gather for watch parties, collect membership dues ($30/Member), organize community service events, organize meet and geets with former players, send members to Liverpool to watch a game at Anfield, and much more.
I've been a member since 2016 and became President after our former stepped down in 2020. I served from 2020-2023 and have since served as Merchandise Coordinator for the club.
When I came on as President, we never had an active Leadership Team. The former President was never around and we never had any legitimacy to the group. We were just a bunch of people that met at the bar on the weekends. The former President actually left during Covid because it became too much for him to manage and I was chosen as his replacement. But I knew I wouldn't be able to handle it all by myself, so we picked a Treasurer and a Secretary.
Our leadership team quickly picked three priorities we wanted to focus on. Membership Size, Benefits of being a member, and club culture.
The problem we saw with our membership numbers was that we had a massive amount of Liverpool fans in DFW, but not many were either aware of the club or didn't want to participate. There were 1.5K members in a Facebook group called "Liverpool Supporters of DFW" but we only had 80 registered members at the start of the 2020 season.
Our first step was to create more satellite locations throughout the metroplex, similar to how the Philadelphia and Boston Supporters Clubs organize their groups.
We understood that not everyone could drive all the way to our home pub to watch games, so we communicated with members that lived in further areas and gave them the resources to start their own watch parties. We even made sure to communicate with the bar/pub hosting their parties to receive the same discounts as we do at our home pub.
To tackle the membership benefits problem, we had to analyze what we currently offered, and the benefits weren't special. You would pay $25 and you would receive a custom scarf. That's it.
First thing we created was a "Members Only" wristband that would grant members access to our big watch parties. The room at our home pub has limited seats, so it all used to be first come first served. Meaning anyone could have a seat in the room, no matter who you were. But once we had the wristbands, we could coordinate with the pub to have their staff assist removing anyone that wasn't a member.
Along with having a custom scarf every year, we added a custom enamel pin and other items to create a merchandise bundle. We even added an option to ship the merchandise to give incentive to those who live far away to sign up.
We also started doing members only raffles, parties, and give members access to enter a raffle to purchase tickets to a Liverpool Match.

The culture of the club grew to become one of the most popular clubs in the states. Gaining a reputation as one of the most fun to watch a game with. We sing our songs loud and proud as we welcome everyone with open arms.
By the end of my time as President, after the 2022/23 season, we ended up with 323 registered members. Since then, I have continued my role with designing and ordering our merchandise while acting as an advisor for the leadership team.
We are currently working through concepts for our 2025/26 Season Merchandise.
